My images are not appearing in Internet Explorer, but they appear to be OK in Firefox. What gives?

Publisher Tools

There are a number of reasons why images might not show properly in a web page. The most common issue is that the image is not in RGB mode. Sometimes, when graphics originate in a print environment, they are created in CMYK mode. When these graphics are converted to .jpgs, it common for the mode to be left in CMYK. Some browsers can support this and older browsers do not. Particularly, Internet Explorer. RGB is the correct mode for images on the web. It is important to make sure your images are in RGB mode before uploading to the system.
